As all of you know, Infosys Mysore training campus is the best training center that anyone can experience. Being a North Indian guy, when I selected as Intern for Infosys Mysore I always used to think why Infosys can not provide training at North itself. Why we need to go 2000 km away from our hometown. Though I could not do anything, I went to Mysore with very heavy heart. But now after completing my internship cum training and posted to my location, I miss being at the Infosys Mysore training campus. I am writing this article for all trainees who are/will be going to Infosys Mysore training campus for their better experience. So that they can cherish all the memories that they will have here throughout their lives.

1) Musical Fountain at GEC:
If you are frustrated by the hectic training schedules then Musical Fountain is the best remedy. Go and sit in front of the musical fountain and enjoy soothing music. If you are a lover of old romantic songs, then it is the best place for you. Listen to that instrumental music and relax. But unfortunately, it works only on weekends.

2) Movies at Multiplex:
On weekends, both Saturday and Sunday, 2 movies are screened. Of the two, one would be Bollywood and one would be Hollywood. So being at the campus, do not miss these movies. The ambiance is awesome with a good sound and video quality. The Ticket would be 50/- per movie. But for getting a ticket, you may need to stand in queue for hours. But eventually, it is also a fun to stand in queue for so long with your friends.

3) Match & Domino’s combo:
If you guys are sports lover and any series or matches are being telecasted at night and you do not want to skip any portion of these matches just for having dinner. Gather in one room with your friends and order for Domino’s and watch the match with all friends. That would be More fun.(We did same during IPL 2014 :p). Domino’s is inside the campus and will take only half an hour to serve. But make sure you order earlier, as during matches all others will be doing the same :p. So you may end up with getting no pizza and you will have to either skip the match or go late night.

4) Late Night Gossips and Playings Outside Hostel Buildings
I know you are not going to miss it even if I had not mentioned. At night, you will see a huge crowd of trainees (couples too :p ) sitting and playing outside the hostels’ buildings. You are going to miss this badly after your training.
5) Birthday Celebrations at Oasis
It is also a fun to have a birthday celebration with all your friends at midnight itself. Give birthday bumps to your buddy and have cake cutting ceremony in your own way.
6) Bowling
There is also a bowling alley at Recreation Center. Hang out with your friends, compete with them and have this experience too.

7) Gym facilities:
A Good news for fitness freaks. There are two gyms inside the campus. You can use them as per your convenience.
8) Other facilities:
There is badminton court, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, basketball, swimming pool. Enjoy these too as per your interest. Do not miss out having fun while being at Infosys just because of tight schedules.

Hi Ankit,
You can NOT carry your laptop to Infosys hostel. The internship stipend is different from training salary (The stipend is very less compared to training salary). Yes, you can call your parents, book a guest house for them in the campus during your internship program.

Hi Santosh, If you are joining as Intern then you do not have to submit service agreement (trainees have bond of one year). You can leave after that if you want. (You may need to submit a small penalty, though in our case no one was asked to submit penalty whosoever left)

Hi Sri, Yes they will call you for regular training. I think your friends will also be called for whole training, though I am not sure. And timing is entirely dependent on business requirements and Mysore campus capacity.

But Unfortunately I couldn’t able to clear training i.e., Generic and Stream and will i have normal training (6 months)? and Some of my friends have cleared Generic and they couldn’t able to clear Stream will they have only Stream Training and When will Infosys Call us for Training? Joining depends on the business requirements and Mysore campus capacity. Since you are selected, you will be given offer letter sooner or later. And you can start brushing up your OOPS and RDBMS concepts as you will have to undergo these at any cost irrespective of the stream you get.

Hi Sowmith, You will be having a L&D (Learning and Development) session that will last for two weeks. This session mainly includes your English speaking and writting skills, email writing skills, client dealing skills etc. After that you will be posted to your job location.

They told us we will have soft skills training again for 2 weeks at most in june i guess. My doubt is, what would be the content in that soft skills training? Though it might b little dificult, bt dont worry much. Infy has well planned schedule for non CS background trainees.You will be given training from the very basic fundamentals. Be a keen learner and Soon you will be good in programming and other technologies as well.

Yes you need to get membership card for this. But if you will join as trainee then you will get membership card and its price will be deducted from your stipend.

Yes, you will have to pay for food at your own. Around 6K-8K would be your expenses for food. You will have to manage/get some money from your parents.

Oviya you will be getting stipend of 13K during training and after job confirmation you will be getting 23k as you will be on probation period.

Hi Oviya, You can study RDBMS here (http://www.tutorialspoint.com/sql/sql-rdbms-concepts.htm) Just go through Basic SQl(Full) and Advance SQL (till Having Clause). You do not need to do C,C++ as such. Just study OOPS concepts(You will find basic tutorials on tutorial site itself).

Hi, Don’t worry you will be taught everything from basic. If you are keen learner you will easily learn all technologies and clear all the modules.But though to be on safer side, I would suggest you to do some homework on OOPS, RDBMS, SE as these are generic subjects you will need to undergo at any cost. We can not predict stream as it will be given on random basis. So just get some hands on generic subjects only.
