There are millions of blogs available around the web. But according to you how many blogs are successful? The answer would be few percent of existing blogs. I have been blogging for past three years and have seen many fellow bloggers who started with me but quit after some time. Though in initial days I also felt I should quit blogging but there was always some sort of motivation that did not let me quit blogging and always insisted me to give one more shot. From my experience, I have come up with reasons why most bloggers fail & quit blogging . Today I am writing this article to highlight those reasons.
Here are top reasons Why Most Bloggers Fail & Quit Blogging
You Choose the Wrong Niche
I have seen many bloggers who choose the niche based on others views or simply follow the ones who are earning through their blogs. They forget that they have to write on the blog, not others. Always follow this approach ‘Write What You Know’. Follow your interest and it can be anything – Sports, Music, Photography, and Travelling, Technology or anything. So always choose a niche you are comfortable at where you can share your thoughts freely and it will help you to build a good relationship with visitors. I consider it as the most common reason why most bloggers fail and quit blogging. That is a very important thing to understand hence it is also included in my other article – Tips For New Bloggers To Achieve Success Starting From Today.
You Think Blogging Gives Benefits From Beginning
Getting success in the blogosphere is not an instant activity. If you have just set up your blog and think you will soon get outcomes from it, you are absolutely wrong. The most successful bloggers today are those who have patiently worked hard on their blogs for quite a long time. So, if you put in your best now in view of the harvest of the future, you will become a renowned and successful blogger eventually.
Always remember ‘Rome was not built in a day’.
You are Less Focused On Your Goals
You are not as focused on your blog as you should be. You are not taking it seriously. If you are working on your blog in your free time then you should not expect much from your blog in short time. It requires a lot of time and hard work to make it popular.
You are Afraid of Criticism
Criticism is an inevitable part of life. Whatever you do you in your life you will face criticism at many stages. You feel frustrated when someone criticizes your blog or ask about your blogging achievements. When you do not have many achievements to showcase you feel demoralized. This is also one of the common reasons why most bloggers fail and quit blogging.
Remember: Criticism comes to those who stand out.
You Are Not Doing Marketing and Promotion
You may be working hard on your blog and writing quality content, but if you lack marketing and promotion expertise your blog would not go far. Start thinking more like a marketer in order to succeed in blogging. Also, Promotion is the necessary aspect to showcase your blog to gain more readers. You can read this article 5 Basic Things You Should Do To Promote Blog to find tips to promote the blog.
You excuse for not having Time
I know it is really hard to regularly work on the blog. But you need to find some time to update regularly to attract readers. But most bloggers fail and quit blogging just because they say – I didn’t have enough time to work on my blog. They start blogging with lots of passion and enthusiasm and then quit it because of lack of time. I would recommend managing your time in a manner that you can spare at least 1-2 hour in a day for blogging.
You think of Money All The Time
Another reason why most bloggers fail and quit blogging is they are not making money from their blogs and they think there is no point in doing this stuff. But my friend, it is really tough to earn decent money from your blog in early stages. If you are beginner blogger then for at least 6 months don’t think about money instead focus on writing quality content and try to increase your blog readership.
Remember: Money Is Not everything
You Don’t have Proper Plan
Most bloggers quit blogging because they did not have a proper plan. You do not know about the plans and how to execute them with proper time and resource management. Prepare short-term plans and long-term plans and then execute it.
Remember: Failing To Plan Is Planning To Fail.
Conclusion
I have listed top reasons why most bloggers fail and quit blogging. If you are facing any of the issue listed above then it’s the time to refine them. Start doing some activities to take your blog at a very big level, soon you will get results from your blog. Cheers !!

Hello Mohit !
I completely agree with you that many bloggers choose wrong niche and then end up blogging because of this reason . I myself when came into blogging choose education niche and later realised that it was not my cup of tea and had to end up finally .
Also , no cow gives milk from the first day of birth . So if anyone thinks that their blog can generate income from the very first day then it is the biggest mis-understanding .
Thanks for this article ! I loved reading it !
Happy Blogging !
