I have been getting lots of emails and comments regarding the places to explore nearby the Infosys Mysore Campus. So, I am writing this article to give an idea about some of the good places that you can explore for relieving the boredom of the busy and hectic schedule of training.
Some places to explore near Infosys Mysore Campus :
Some Foodie places :
Food is always an unsatisfactory thing for almost every trainee. Though there are different vendors from different food varieties for different regions of India (where you can find North or East region food), but they are not up to mark as their way of preparing food differs from the native way of preparation. So it will not be a surprising thing if you start hating your most favorite dishes :p But if you are a non-vegetarian try Pathankot’s vendor. It is still good than others. Anyway, everyone has his/her own taste, so things may change as per their perception.

I am sharing with you all a few restaurants and food courts outside the campus that are good for foodie people. You can go for dinner or lunch during weekdays also.

5) Purple Haze Pub: A pub where you can find enough brands for whiskey and beers. If you are a fan of hard and loud music, try it once.

Hi dear.. Last week,I have visited Mysore palace & Zoo. Please publish my comments on your blog. I am not sure whether you have visited these places before writing this blog.
Mysore Palace : It is not at all neat and not a hygienic place to visit. Sometimes I thought we went for photo exhibition. Most of the places/rooms in palace are closed. They just shown some halls with restrictions. They don't allow photographs(Don't say security reason, there is nothing to secure) and staff are very ridiculous. No one is there to explain what it is, at-least we don't found relevant boards at all. They were charging entry fee(40/-) & separate charge for museum(40/-). There is nothing to see in museum. As per my experience it is not a suggestible place to visit.
Zoo : It is somewhat better compared to palace. Firstly, it is not an hygienic place. Very poor maintenance place. Secondly, we can found limited animals and birds.
The remaining places are good to visit (Chamundi Hills, St. Philomena’s Church,Brindavan Gardens).
Hi Kumar,
Thanks for dropping your comment. Yes, I had visited all the places before posting this article. You are correct that Mysore palace is more of a photo exhibition and most places are closed. Not sure about hygiene and all, how much the situation have changed now. I had visited this place 3+ years back, it was ok to at least visit this once, being in Mysore. So thought to mention that as well :)
If you dont mind, where do you host your blog? I am loiknog for a good quality host and your web site seams to be quick and up most the time
