Blogging is the perfect way to showcase your product, company, ideas, and experience. There are many bloggers who write good articles and help their audiences. But there are also many bloggers who tend to write such helpful articles but are overlooked. They fail to engage the visitors and get traffic. This article ‘Common Blogging Mistakes That Bloggers make’ enlists the various mistakes that bloggers commit that result in failing to get maximum exposure.
Blogging Mistake #1 You do not engage with your readers
The biggest mistake bloggers make is not engaging with their readers. The audience is god for bloggers. Your job is not limited to only writing a post and publishing it. Your actual job starts when audience queries you or share the experience with you or want to seek help from you. Be a keen responder. Be responsive and appreciative to your audience. Every minute you spend interacting on a personal level with your readers is well-spent. If you don’t respond back to the audience, the popularity goes down. Share views and help others with reliable and correct information. Responding to your readers as they comment helps build stronger relationships and more “social equity.” People remember you when you take the time to reply.
Blogging Mistake #2 You do not write for audience but write purely for SEO
You should keep ‘Audience’ in mind rather than ‘SEO’while writing articles. Instead of flooding your articles with keywords you should write simple sentences that are easily readable and understandable. If you’re only writing for robots, then you might be wasting human time. Always write for your audience first, then optimize your articles for better search engine results.

Blogging Mistake#3 You focus on quantity instead of quality
I think a lot of bloggers focus on quantity instead of quality. Remember Content is the king. You should always go for Quality, not for quantity. For instance, you should write quality content. In starting, you can write 4-5 posts per week. Never forget quality and go for only quantity by writing a number of posts by just copying it from the internet. Though you will be filling your website but it is of no use. You will lose credibility. Always write a long and lengthy post as visitors love to read in-depth information. (Also Google Webmaster has pointed to that). Don’t just post for the sake of posting. Create content that has some sort of takeaway value for your readers.
Blogging Mistake #4: You do not promote your blog content
One of the biggest mistakes bloggers commit is not promoting their own content enough. After you publish your new article or post you should consider promoting and sharing the content as much as you can. If you do not do this, no matter how great your content is, it’s still likely to fail at bringing in traffic. So if you’re writing great content, don’t feel guilty about promoting it! Your followers want to know about your awesome content.

Blogging Mistake#5 You do not join a blog community
One of the largest mistakes new bloggers make is going about it all alone. There are tons of talented writers who would love to form a community blog based on wonderful content in your niche, which would accelerate your blog’s growth with more promoters and give you a wider social circle to pull from for comments and sharing.
If you’re committing any of above-listed blogging mistakes, it’s time to make a change. I will soon write an article on guest blogging mistakes and what are guest blogging best practices.
