India’s newly created missile named as Nirbhay failed during testing. Nirbhay was developed by Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE), a Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) laboratory based in Bangalore. India’s trial of its first indigenous cruise missile Nirbhay had to be terminated halfway today. The missile deviated from its course about 20 minutes after launch. NEW DELHI: Uninor is in big trouble as Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) directed Uninor to refund balance of over 10 lakh users within 15 days. This balance is the amount of its subscribers in Mumbai and Kolkata, where the company has closed its operations and has stopped providing services.
Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) in its direction to Uninor also asked the company to facilitate shifting their numbers to networks of other service providers.
Although the telecom regulator has also directed other telecom operators to accept porting request of Uninor customers. It also directed Uninor to publish procedure for porting number and refund of money in newspapers and on its websites.
“Refund, within fifteen days of issue of this direction, the amount available in the account of the consumer,” the Trai direction said.
Uninor had informed Trai that it had to close its operations in 15 service areas following the Supreme Court order of February 15, 2013 which did not permit operators to continue services without acquiring spectrum through auction process.
But still, it will be slightly difficult for Uninor to refund the balance to a huge list of customers. If we talk about the number of customers Uninor is following then it is 10,12,630 customers in only Mumbai and Kolkata. It will be interesting to see how Uninor will tackle with this disaster.
